God first called me to ministry while I was a student at the University of Kentucky in 2002.  He placed a desire in my heart to reach young people for the Lord as I saw so many of my peers who were abandoning their faith while they were in college.  I realized that I wanted to minister and disciple youth and children, so I dedicated my life to doing exactly that in the service of the church.  

The following year God brought me back to my childhood home, Bowling Green, where I attended WKU.  During my time in college I continued to serve in ministry as well as work at the school as their mascot (Big Red) from 2004-2009.  Because of this opportunity God allowed me to minister at hundreds of events, and it also led to one particular event where I met the most amazing girl and my future wife Laura Beth! 

God called me to Lakeview Church to be the student pastor in 2021.  I found that Lakeview was the perfect place to serve God in student ministry as the members supported a healthy attitude of creativity and evangelism.  In short, when they hired me they wanted to do whatever it took to get our kids “excited about church and about Jesus.”    

At Lakeview we offer a unique perspective about student ministry.  It is our goal to educate your children about scripture using the most creative, interactive, and immersive environment possible.  We don’t just want to see your kids get saved and baptized, we want them to experience life transformations as they grow in their faith.  I think about my days in college after seeing so many turn away from God and their families.  At Lakeview we are investing in the spiritual health of both your students and your family and that is why we consider ourselves part of a parent church partnership.
